Traveling woman 2011

This year, I already visited 10 cities I've never seen before.

And I'm even going to add more. I'm so looking forward to that!

At first I'll go to a small place near the Atlantic coast in France. Then I'll take a train from Brest to Paris. I've never been to Paris, too.

From Paris I'm going to take an overnight train to Berlin to see a concert and well, Berlin and people who live there. From Berlin my plane to Helsinki will take off.

Maybe I'll visit Tallinn. Turku, Tampere, I have to see about these. But Seinäjoki is another stop. So, I'll go up north by train. Oulu, Pudasjärvi, the usual. But also Rovaniemi.

Next stop will be Helsinki again and then I'm going to take the ferry to Stockholm. See a bit of Swedens capital city without cold and snow. And then via train all the way through Sweden. Stops will probably be e.g. Göteborg, Lund and Malmö. After Malmö comes Copenhagen and then I'm heading home again.

Already I'm excited!

Oh well, I didn't think it would hurt so much.

And I still am so very confused. I mean, I think I made that quite clear in my last post already. But well, it doesn't get better.
Sometimes I read things and then I try to apply the one or other truth to my life. And then I end up being confused, because it doesn't quite work.
I guess I'm just turning around my own axis. What I'm looking for is happiness. Simple as that.

And now I'm looking forward to going to Finland.
And then I'm crying about being so happy to know so great people. But also about having to say goodbye to a dog.
And about all the things that mean so much, yet do not belong to me. Not even a little.

Etwas schreiben? Es lassen?

Wie immer kann ich mich nur schwer entscheiden.

Im Grunde geht es nicht um etwas lebensnotwendiges.

Einerseits also vielleicht Zeitverschwendung. Andererseits auch egal. Was ist schon Zeitverschwendung? Bzw., viel interessanter, was nicht? (Wer mir diese Frage mal beantworten kann, der bekommt aber eine ganz große Schachtel Pralinen von mir.)

Eine neue Sichtweise zum Thema “bloggen” fiel mir heute ein, so zum Thema, ojeoje, das kann dann ja jeder lesen und alle wissen, was ich denke, tue, fühle, wie ich aussehe, schnickschnack.

Es ist doch ein bisschen, wie laut im Bus über sein Leben zu reden. Also, wenn man jemand anderem in der Öffentlichkeit etwas privates erzählt und andere können mithören. Das tue ich schließlich auch viel und nicht unbedingt leise. Ich bin ja nicht unbedingt dafür bekannt besonders unauffällig zu sein oder mich zu verhalten, will ich auch gar nicht.

Ist wahrscheinlich ein bisschen naiv gedacht.

Egal.

Ein bisschen Gedanken sortieren wollte ich. Das geht immer gut in Abschnitten.

Punkt 1) beruflich/finanziell

Nun ja, ich habe eine Art Minijob und habe in der letzten Zeit gut bei verschiedenen Veranstaltungen verdient. Geht mir also gut.

Unibewerbungen sind so grundsätzlich abgeschickt. Vielleicht kommen noch ein paar dazu, “nur so”. Irgendwas wird davon schon klappen. Hoffe ich. Aah! Nicht drüber nachdenken. Was ich mit dem nächsten Jahr mache, kann ich mir ja überlegen, wenn ich die Absagen alle abgeheftet habe...

Punkt 2) Wohnen

Puh, ja, ich bin zufrieden mit Zimmer und Wohnort. Oder? Ja, doch. Mit mir selbst manchmal nicht. Aber dazu kommen wir gleich.

Außerdem ergibt sich ja aus Punkt 1), dass ich in der Lage bin diesen Sommer noch wenig herumzureisen. Kann mich also auch in diesem Punkt eigentlich nicht beklagen. Wenn ich es denn mal geregelt kriege, nun ja, ein bisschen was geregelt zu kriegen. Im Grunde muss ich ja nur ein paar Leute kontaktieren und einen Flug buchen, das sollte ja wohl zu schaffen sein.

Punkt 3) fassen wir es mal etwas allgemeiner: rundum Glück und Zufriedenheit

Hm, ein bisschen zu weit gefasst?

Es geht mir gut, soviel kann ich sagen.

Ich habe Angst mich zu langweilen, immer und überall. Scheint so eine kleine Phobie von mir zu sein, die Langeweile-Phobie.

Deswegen versuche ich vor ihr wegzulaufen. Und dann suche ich nach Abenteuern. Nach einem Leben, das ich vielleicht gerade verpasse, während ich mein eigenes lebe. Man weiß ja nie.

Aber dann habe ich da noch so eine Phobie, eine Art Einsamkeitsphobie.

Die holt mich dann von meinen abenteuerlichen Anti-Langeweile-Trips wieder zurück ins wohlig warme, wo ich sicher bin vor dem Allein sein. Aber wo vermeintlich die Langweile lauert. (Und wer weiß, vielleicht bin ich da am Ende auch vor dem Allein sein nicht sicher...)

Aber all das ist natürlich Blödsinn.

Ich weiß einfach nicht so ganz genau, was ich will.

Ich habe aufgeben meine Gedanke sortieren zu wollen. Grenze erreicht. Jetzt ist da nichts mehr oder nur noch Chaos. Wahrscheinlich ein schwarzes Loch.

Die Zeit vergeht mir einerseits zu schnell, andererseits frage ich mich, warum.

Was soll denn so schlimm daran sein, dass die Zeit vergeht? Oder ob sich das schnell anfühlt?

Ich weiß es, ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Zeit die schon verstrichen ist, ungenutzt verstrichen ist, ich habe ja schließlich immer noch nichts bahnbrechendes erreicht. Und es ist schon der 6. Juni 2011. (Ja und? Ist das jetzt ein besonderes Datum? Gab es da eine Deadline, von der ich nichts weiß, die heute ausläuft? Ich glaube nicht! Also, was soll der Scheiß?)

Aber da sind wir wieder bei der Zeitverschwendung und alledem.

Vielleicht ist ja Verdrängung die beste Lösung. Für diese ganzen blöden Gedanken.

Rede ich es mir denn ein oder geht es mir wirklich gut?

Wenn es mir wirklich gut geht, dann ist doch der Rest wirklich egal.

Aber ich weiß ja, mir fehlt was.

Und irgendwie ist das auch das einzige, was stört.

Wer weiß, das könnte die Lösung sein.

Heute wäre so eine Nacht zum nach Hause laufen. Den langen Weg nehmen. Nicht bis zum Zoo fahren. Nicht umsteigen, nicht warten. Bellevue aussteigen und dann über die Brücke gehen. Vielleicht kurz anhalten und mit dem Handy ein Bild von den Lichtern machen, die sich auf der nachtschwarzen Wasseroberfläche spiegeln (und man würde doch nichts erkennen, auf dem Bild, aber ich weiß es ja.).

Schneller werden, fast rennen. Dann wieder schlendern, tänzeln, den Mond am Himmel suchen (vielleicht durch Pfützen springen).

Ich fahre gern Rad. Aber ich fahre auch gern Straßenbahn und gehe dann den Rest des Wegs zu Fuß.

Ich vermisse Berlin und ich vermisse bis morgens um sechs in dunklen, dreckigen Clubs zu lauter, elektronischer Musik tanzen.

Aber genauso habe ich dort den Park vermisst. Mit all seiner Vertrautheit und den Erinnerungen an die unzähligen dort verbrachten Abende. Hätte mir ganz zu Anfang jemand gesagt, wie oft ich noch dort sein würde und wie melancholisch mich all das einmal machen würde, tja, ich hätte es vermutlich nicht geglaubt. Aber ich hätte auch nicht geglaubt, dass ich einmal ramschige Elektroschuppen in Berlin vermissen würde, nachdem ich von Berlin aus zurück nach Osnabrück gezogen sein würde.

Nun ja, ich würde mich jetzt gerne selbst beruhigen (die Wogen meiner Gedanken glätten), indem ich mir und der Welt sage: Hey, alles ist gut.

Aber natürlich weiß ich das gar nicht.

Die Zeit in Berlin, die ich vermisse, ist so oder so vorbei. Wäre es auch in jedem anderen Fall.

Ich habe mich für Zeit in Osnabrück entschieden. Und diese Entscheidung war gut. Denn, und das weiß ich diesmal schon jetzt, irgendwann werde ich wieder woanders sein und dort nachts von irgendwo nach Hause kommen und denken, heute wäre eine Nacht, in der ich mit dem Rad nach Hause fahren würde. Den Berg hoch. Im sechsten Gang.

Und wenn ich doch nicht mit Sicherheit sagen kann, dass alles gut ist, zumindest ist auch nicht alles schlecht. Und das ist immerhin so tröstlich, dass ich ruhig schlafen kann.

P.S.: Es wird schon hell.

Her blog is very pretty, too. I normally am not such a big fan of watercolor, but sometimes she convinces me of the opposite...

Another blog worth seeing is Vihreä Talo.

I love the photos from their cottage, very pretty and very different from the usual photos on blogs, but very typical for a finnish summer cottage.

My head feels like it would be exploding any time soon and everything which is light jumps up and down in front of my eyes. Or actually, it is flickering around. As if hundreds of very, very small bees would try to get through a glass plate.

I'm freezing.

My body seems to be telling my mind, come on, make it a day, get some sleep.
But there's just so much in my head.
Thinking about it, there's not so much in my head after all, but there's that urge to write in the tip of my fingers. Like ants, trying to get out.
Seems like my whole body is filled with imaginary animals, trying to escape.
Is it that something (I, even?) wants to burst out?
I don't know. But I feel the start of something new coming closer.
I like these things; leaving, new beginnings, movement (forward)... Even if it might not always look like that.

Most importantly, I realized I'm deeply in love with the sea.
I frequently fail to describe what I mean, how I mean it and what it does to me, but I never feel as free and calm than when I'm facing an ocean. To cut it short.
I don't know whether it's that the wind or the waves take it with them but for example any kind of anger will fall off of me when I walk along a beach, the cold water washing around my feet... that special salty taste in the air...
As I said, it's hard for me to describe it, but finally, the ocean always heals something inside of me. Whatever got tangled up in there, it will get better, clearer or perhaps it will only be pushed a little bit in the background.

One night last week I woke up and found myself realizing how much I'm actually looking forward to the upcoming events in my life. To the way my situation seems to be developing.
I thought about my latest decisions and what other decisions had led to all these questions, I've been trying to answer for myself lately, and my all in all situation. Wondering about mutual possibilities and how things could have been different I came to the conclusion that finally, here and now, in this very reality I absolutely can not tell whether any of my decisions where and will be right, but that I am quite content with how everything looks like right now.
It might sound as if things where pretty much settled for a longer period of time for me from now on, but actually that isn't the case. Could be we are talking about the next three, two or maybe even only the very next month which is starting only fifteen minutes from now.
It doesn't matter much, at least not to me.
The way I feel now, though, I would not mind settling down a bit.
When I was thinking about that place I'll be moving to sometime next week, I felt some kind of relief, knowing that there's no deadline to my staying there. I mean, I can stay there as long as I want to. Somehow that is a very comforting thought.

What do you say? Everything will be alright, or what was it?
I do hope but also believe so.

And then there are all those memories.
And as much as they sometimes try to get into my way, waving, jumping and screaming that they knew so much better and saying 'Oh, but don't you think times where great and don't you want that back?', I don't quite listen to them anymore. I mean, I still love them by heart and there's so many things I like to remember and situations I want to recall any number of times... But finally, memories are memories and now is now and there is that start of new things and so many new days coming up and other things that want to become new beautiful memories themselves, I just can't ignore them all.
To make that clear, I was never trying to get any old times back. Even if some steps seem to be steps backward, they aren't. I'm not a new me, but these are new decisions.

Ganz unbearbeitet. Bin ganz verliebt.

Wer hätte das gedacht, das Wald mich nochmal faszinieren könnte?

Dieses Gefühl, wenn man nach einem langen, warmen Sommertag, den man draußen verbracht, wieder zu Hause ist.

Man ist irgendwie müde von der frischen Luft. Fühlt sich ein wenig verschwitzt und ein bisschen, als wenn man nach Rasen riechen würde, aber noch sehr gut und nicht so dreckig, dass man sofort duschen wollte. Einfach wohl in seiner Haut.

Herrlich.

Man ist irgendwie noch nicht wieder aus der Geschichte wieder aufgetaucht, in der man vielleicht versunken ist, weil man ein Buch in der Sonne gelesen hat. Noch nicht ganz wieder in der Realität angekommen. Alles könnte ganz anders sein.

Muss es aber nicht, denn eigentlich ist man ganz zufrieden. Mit sich. Und der Welt.

Und nächste Woche wünsche ich mir gutes Wetter in Dänemark.

Right now I'm celebrating what is probably my last evening in this flat when it at least resembles a little bit of a home.

Saying, I'm moving out tomorrow.

Heading towards the city I once flew from.

But well, it's all alright. Even though nobody really seems to understand and I can't actually explain, I think I'm doing the right thing.
